I can’t say that I agree with Jane Jacobs more:
No one can find what will work for our cities by looking at … suburban garden cities, manipulating scale models, or inventing dream cities.
You’ve got to get out and walk. – Jane Jacobs writer, walker
Janes Walk occurs in early May each year in cities across North America. I have already featured pictures and scenes from the Walk this year – but I have found some more that are so fine, adding them at this time seems natural. These are images from Toronto on College South and West of University Avenue area.
The colors of this spring were robust.
Tree blooms embued enchanting fragrances
Which inspired flights of fancy.
Hooray for vinyl record shopping spots
And Flowers weaving colors into your mind
Like walls of graffiti to ponder.
In short Janes Walk in these few blocks of sampling images provided enough to chatter and walk about fun to make a wonderful Sunday.
